A kidnapper sent a ransom note. He prepared it carefully and ensured tht it contained no fingerprints. Yet it was used to prove his guilt.  How?

Clue: The police glean no clues from the content, paper, or style of the ransom note.

Clue: The ransom note was mailed, but the postmark gave no clues.

Clue: There were no fingerprints, but the police were able to establish a unique match with the criminal.

The police got DNA from the stamp and matched that to the suspect.  I saw this on a television show recently.
