Doesn't it seem that the new Administration goes out of its way to antagonize certain groups.  Case in point, is trying to appoint Caroline Kennedy as ambassador to the Vatican.  What did they think was going to happen? Here is a pro choice individual trying to be ambassador to the ultimate pro life group.  It just seems that they go out of their way to antagonize those who don't believe the way they do.

It does seem as though they are antagonistic.  While I have been a lifelong Democrat, the party seems to be taking a decided turn to the far left.  I am Catholic and find it offensive that they would push candidates for ambassador to the Vatican who they know will be rejected.  It seems as though they want to tell the Pope that he is wrong about his views and beliefs.

It doesn't seem that you should be surprised at this.  Being a Democrat, I am more towards the middle, and while I personally don't believe in abortion, I am pro choice.  Having said that, it does seem as though they are tring to insult the Vatican.

This doesn't make much sense to me either.  It does just seem they are trying to push an agenda.  The President seem to be trying to reach out to Europe, but it would appear the Vatican is not included in that.
