I saw the following post in Denise's Blog about the coverage of Michael Jackson as opposed to servicemen who have died and it made me think as I have be caught up in the media coverage of his death.  At the time I didn't think about how much hard news I was getting as the media was constantly covering Michael.

We do have a tendency in this country to place to much importance on celebrity and miss the important contributions of people who really make a difference.  If you check out the news this morning though it is still the Michael Jackson story.
