I get asked by many why do I smoke.  The simple answer is I like it.  I liked it when I had my first cigarette so thirty something years ago and I still do.  I consider it a pleasure and I still enjoy it.  I like the taste, the ritual, the lift, all of it.  I have never tried to quit and I don't see any reason to.  I don't try to persuade anyone to smoke or no to smoke.  It is a personal decision. I don't smoke around people who don't.  I am a moderate smoker (usually half a pack a day), sometimes more.

I also smoke just because I like it.  I quit for long periods of time but I always go back to it.

I also smoke because I like it.  There is the addiction factor but that is part of the enjoyment.  Satisfying the craving.

I recently started smoking again when I was laid off from work.  Before that I had quit many years ago.  I had always smoked when I was stressed, and this was big stress.  I have since gone back to work, but I am still smoking.  I am going to try to quit again, but I am not ready just yet.  While I do enjoy some what, I do want to quit again.

I am not trying to quit anymore.  I am enjoying smoking again.  Worrying about quitting does help.  If I quit, I quit. But I am not worrying about it anymore and I am just enjoying it.
