A woman got a job with a large company.  After her first day's work she returned home utterly exhausted because of a misunderstanding.  What happened?

Clue  number 1.  She worked as cleaner in a large building.

If no one solves this today, I will put another clue out tomorrow.

She cleaned the elevators more than once, by cleaning them on every floor.

Lisa is correct.  She cleaned the elevator on every floor.
