An old riddle goes like this:

A man without eyes, saw plums on a tree.  He did take plums and he did not leave plums.  How could this be?

the man had only one eye, and he took all the plums he saw, and left behind the ones he didn't.

He had only one eye, so he didn't have "eyes".  He took one plum and their were only two plums on the tree so by taking one plum he didn't leave "plums", because there was only one plum left.
